Once upon a time... The ISB Environmental Club!

The Environmental Club is born! Some of Grade 11 students guided by Ms Lampiri have created a club that aims to fight against the abuse of single plastic. We have big dreams: To AVOID the use of plastic on the staff room; but we will start by trying to reduce the use of this -hygienic- but pollutant material.

We meet every Monday in Room B (12:45) you are welcome to join us. For now we:

> Have done a brainstorming to see what actions we can develop;

> We will contact Elior (the food company that provides the school) to have information about how Eco is their packaging.

Collaboration with the Cheltenham Ladies College, UK

The students at Cheltenham Ladies College, UK are initiating a magazine for students by students to promote intercultural understanding which is a praiseworthy aim. It is also part of their CAS programme. James Sheriiff the CAS Coordinator at the school sent me this information about the magazine:

"My IB CAS students have launched an international student magazine and I was wondering if any of your students wanted to write (or read) an article from their perspective. It is a great initiative called: https://www.yourscope.org/

Here is the student’s invite paragraph:

"YourScope is a student-led initiative designed to simplify news for global youth. We publish articles written for students, by students, and aim to promote international and intercultural understanding through our passion for current affairs. If any students or schools would like to get involved, please email us at info@yourscope.org. We are currently in the process of recruiting new writers and establishing a wider readership - so don't hesitate to get in touch!
Best wishes,
Maia”

Your students may wishes to be involved and if so they could contact the editors at the mail address above.
