Volabo and opportunities for volunteering

Last week we visited Volabo, an association that helps minors to find places and organizations to volunteer.

It was a fruitful experience. The main opportunity was given through this website: http://www.volabo.it/sayes/ where we can find a list of possible organizations  to volunteering.

Please, have a look and ask for advise if you need it!

Isabella playing guitar

Thanks to Isabella (Grade 11) for performing in front of us yesterday during homeroom time. As some of us said, it was a pity that the audience was very limited...hope next time will be a crowd!

Well done Isa!!

World AIDS Day

The first of December the world celebrates the AIDS Day. Here some info: https://www.worldaidsday.org/

Some ideas for CAS? What about making some red ribbons? It is simple and easy but the message is strong:

Here some ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvelLvUnW9s

WHY DON'T WE WORK TOGETHER ON IT DURING HOMEROOM TIME?

Why do we volunteer?

I think is very important that we reflect about volunteer and why we do so.

Please, check this website (specially the Social Media guide) and introduce a reflection on your portfolio.

Thanks

Creating network

Dear all,

We have the opportunity to be in contact with the Tema International School of Ghana so...if you have a Twitter account clik "Follow on them" and...if you don't...what are you waiting for? They are doing amazing experiences and to be in contact with them can be very inspirational!!

Ideas for Service and Creativity

Dear all,

Ms Nikanjam has passed me this video Greenhouse and...Ok we can't have a greenhouse like this in our school but...what about this? You could cultivate different plants for Science or other plants and to explain the growing process and timing of nature to the small child! We already have a "vegetable pitch" in the garden but he is very sad and alone and, with no help he will die soon...He is screaming for help...

Grade 12: What is CAS explained by Ben and Will

Have a look to this video it is very inspirational and...yes grade 12! I really would like you to prepare a video  altogether like this because it can be very useful for the next Grade 11 and it could be an amazing final project as a whole CAS group.

PS:  It is a suggestion for now but, if you are not good volunteers, it could be compulsory...

What about submiting one at the end of November? Shall we meet during lunch time? Break time??

What is CAS?
