I've started pole dancing in September. I'm finding it particularly challenging because I didn't have the physical strength in the beginning, but mostly because its an activity that's far from my comfort zone. Surely I worked a lot on myself during this experience but being part of a group in which we support each other even if we aren't particularly close. I found it less difficult than others though because I've danced for almost all of my life, therefore I'm used to learning new moves and positions quite fast, more over I'm quite flexible which I find often helps me. I found this experience particularly interesting because of the significance it has. Many associate pole dancing to strippers and clubs and through this experience I'm trying to show the people around me, who know me, that its an old stereotype that doesn't exist anymore. Martina
