  1. For my CAS I have been doing sports at home, however after a couple of weeks it started to get a little boring. When my father and I cleaned the garage we found a tennis net which we set up in the courtyard. We added some badminton rackets and whoever wanted to play could come and play. The only is to come down only with your family and to wash your hands and the apparatus you are using.
Now, many people go down and play each day, especially families with young children and there are now four balls, some scooters, bikes, tennis rackets; everyone has added some apparatus to the one we had provided.

  2. That's a really nice idea Maelys, there's nothing that makes you happier than sharing, especially during these difficult times.

  5. For my CAS, I have been trying to live a healthy lifestyle as best as I can by exercising, eating healthy and doing things I enjoy. I have created a blog to document this. Me and Kenneth have also started our CAS project, which consists of organizing weekly activities for the class. We've made pancakes, drawings and a poem, and it is a really nice opportunity to connect outside of the virtual classroom and socialize. Also, as part of the GIN club I have been working together with the IB to review a future well being platform that they are making.

For my CAS, I’ve regularly exercising on a daily basis at home, with exercises targeting different muscle groups each day and utilizing different equipment to keep things interesting and refreshing. I’ve also been trying to workout in different areas of my home besides my room, such as on the terrace, so that I’m not always working out in the same setting and keep things different each time.
Besides physical exercise I’ve been progressing with my digital animation and motion design course, trying my best to regularly practice and experiment with new ideas/techniques, as well as maintaining my coursework for it.

For my Cas I’ve learned how to play the guitar. I practice 2 hours a day. I began when the Quarantine started and I’ve come very far. I can play numerous difficult songs now. I also have been keeping up with exercise by working out everyday with my father. After ordering several weights and a bench press we keep up workouts with what we would normally in the gym. I also have been practicing the songs we had to play in band

  8. For my CAS I have been regularly exercising at home everyday with the equipment I have at home. I have also been continuing my CAS experience of playing the drums as I have a drum kit I can use at home. I have also been doing some of the activities organised by my classmates like cooking and drawing.

For my CAS I have started my project which consists of making protective masks following this COVID 19 emergency, which I will then donate. Amongst this I have also been continuing with knitting (I am in the process of making a hat and have finished a scarf), and have been trying to pursue a healthy lifestyle in quarantine by working out, doing creative activities, and organizing “games” or “meals” with my family, to make the best out of a hard situation.

For my CAS, I have been taking the extra time available to try and do different activities I wasn't able to do before. I continued with theatre but we have had to adapt and will have to wait to do our show at a later time. I have been working out every day, as I have more time and tried to do exercises with my mum, cousin and friends but what I found best is following videos on youtube as they fit more my type of training. I have been cooking and with my neighbours, safely traded recipes for things to try. I gave my brother a haircut which he surprisingly liked and watched a tv series with him. My mum and I have started a new show which we watch while cooking. I've also been reading more, both school-related and not books which is something I didn't do as often before. With more time available I am able to take time also for myself and not always think about what's next with school, which has helped me feel more relaxed.

  11. This period of lockdown has allowed me to try a variety of ideas for CAS and given me more time to focus on its requirements. I am mainly focusing on the weekly lockdown activities for the grade and doing running once or twice a week to stay fit. I am also learning songs for the band and generally trying to maintain my musical level on the guitar. I have also started some gardening with my mother to keep busy. Overall, this period has been one of great personal growth and engagement as it has pushed me to change my behaviour and try new things.
